  I had an amazing time staying at this beautiful lake front property calm and peaceful the game room was fun and got a lot of use but what I didn’t like were the beds they were lumpy and the mattress protectors were very dirty and full of bugs.   This was a birthday weekend getaway vacation that my husband, my dogs and a 4 other friends went to and it became one of our favorite locations ever!!Lapka Rentals were very quick to answer all my questions i had about the house before and after booking to prepare a great weekend!! The views were spectacular at sunrise and sunset!! But it was sad to see that we couldn't use the hot tub on the deck but we did grill on the deck which was nice to eat out there too and look at the water. Everybody enjoyed their Room it was very neat and well kept it had everything from blender to a dishwasher, to washer and dryer so it was very well Set up!! It was near some outlets in north Conway, So that was fun going shopping and enjoying Another part of New Hampshire. I think the only downfall to this house was that my dogs got fallen tree sapp on the ground in between their hair in there toes but that was expected being in the heavy woods!! 😆 LOL Also the TV in the game basement does not work at all we sat down there for 20 minutes trying to figure it out and it's completely broken. But they had dish cable in the living Room in other tvs in the house. They also had a house phone But I couldn't dial out but people could call it for some reason... They had a paddleboat which was really cool and a huge Canoe to enjoy a ride on Pea Porridge Pond!! Deffinetly a great house that has little extras around the house that was helpful cooking and relaxing even more. We got to checking early at 2pm which was cool since no one was there the day before. They even had stuff for pets aka dogs in the closet near the kitchen which we ended up not using but it was there Which was nice! Great end to a great birthday weekend!!

  This was a lovely spot on Pea Porridge Pond with canoe and paddle boat for your use, a lovely deck overlooking the pond with breezes to keep bugs at bay. It is a dog friendly property so furniture is appropriate. The property requires stairs and has a musty basement. The property could be improved with several new mattresses, a working TV in the basement, and new pots and pans that will heat on the electric stove. Although it is clear that grill should be cleaned, we arrived to a grease overflow.
  There is a whole house stereo and plenty of firewood. No motors on the water and sandy beaches within walking distance. With a few improvements, I would rent again!
  Kangamangus, North Conway, and the Madison Boulder are attractions nearby. We spent most of our time on the pond-peaceful and relaxing. The Loons visited often!

  My family enjoyed our much needed vacation at Lapka. We spent a lot of time swimming, fishing, floating and enjoying the deck. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved finding new items throughout the house during the week. Seems like someone found something new each day, great decorating! We would definitely book again. Only drawback was we wish the dock was in working order to access the water better. Thanks for the memories!

  We had a great time at the property and loved that we could bring our 4-legged friend. Lots of space for 7 of us. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was plenty. Beds were not the most comfortable, but that's OK. Kids dealt with not having WiFi. TV in basement was nearly useless as it was covered with snow, but others worked fine. Kitchen was very well-equipped. The empty hot tub on the deck was sad to look at. We weren't expecting one, but to see it and know that we couldn't use it was sad. The waterfront area really needs a dock in order to be useful. We precariously made our way in and out of the water. I definitely think younger kids (or even adults or anyone) would get hurt. I highly suggest fixing the dock so that people could get in and out of the water easily. The place was clean"ish." Certainly not spotless, but fine. Thankfully we brought our own fans because it did get HOT - but that's OK. Plenty of hooks to hang towels in the bathroom (so many places don't do this, so it was nice). The entire "Eidelweiss Village" was GREAT. Very quiet and nicely laid out. Wonderful activities are only 15 minutes away. We would definitely book here if the dock got fixed. Would have to think about it if not.

  We had a family reunion so our stay was joyous because of that. Weather for the first half was not great, but it improved. Having the beach nearby was great for the small children, but one had to watch them around the property because of a retaining wall that had a steep drop-off (on the way to the water). It was also good to have three bathrooms with such a number of people. The house was generally clean except for the floors/carpets which were very dirty. Not great when you have small ones crawling around. The area is nice for people with many activities to do.
