  Perfect for those looking to get out of town, but still close enough. Great space for myself & 2 kids. We loved the kayaks & had the pond to ourselves, it seems. We did stay during the week, so we can't attest to what weekends look like in October. We unfortunately lost power the morning we were leaving. High winds will do that. I searched for flashlights and/or lanterns but didn't find any, so they might consider adding some for the chance that happens. It's a very shaded house in the trees & not a lot of windows for light. That being said, I'll absolutely still return!

  The lake was beautiful and very peaceful. We were so grateful for the canoe and kayaks and used them daily. Lovely place in the woods. The cabin was very clean. I found the furniture to be very worn and “cabinesque.” It probably wouldn’t bother most people but I covered them with spare sheets I brought. For the price they charge they could provide the convenience of a lockbox for keys. It’s a short drive to pick up and drop off but I feel for the expense of the rental they could provide this convenience. Very inconvenient especially when leaving since we had to back track and there is usually a bit of traffic in that area. Kitchen could use a crock pot, blender, coverable storage containers. Location made the inconveniences nothing. Absolutely beautiful and quiet location.

  We stayed for five days and enjoyed the peaceful nature of this tranquil lake property. Watched the sun rise over the lake and enjoyed using the kayaks, paddling around this beautiful setting. The air-conditioning worked great on a couple of hot days, making for a comfortable house. Close by to all the area has to offer, including a wide range of hiking trails. The general store in Madison has all the essentials, including some great pizza. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely return.

  Overall I cant complain becaisue the family had a blast and we loved the location and relaxation.. But it was advertised as having a dock which they had taken out of the water making it difficult with little kids to use the canoe and then the propane fire pit took some actual working on to get up and running... But I guess that's the price you pay for such a great view and house. We will be back..

  Cabin style, nothing fancy, but with everything that you could want! Loved sitting by the lake at all hours of the day. Amazing view of the stars at night. We loved using the boats to explore the lake. Everything was very well maintained. I will admit it was kind of a pain to have to bring along sheets and towels and toilet paper and such (rental management company policy), but it was not as barren as expected. Either previous renters left stuff behind or the owners went out of their way to supply some things. Either way, we were not wanting for anything. We would go back in a heartbeat.

  I and my boyfriend had an amazing time at this rental. It's gorgeously situated by the lake. Colors were in peak, but there are alot of evergreens around the lake, so the view is not brilliant. Everything was clean and tidy . We had to check in and out late and the rental management was very accommodating. This would be a great place for a small family. We had intended for my boyfriend's grandkids to come up with us, and this would have been the perfect property. Only bad thing to say, the home roof makes noise similar to a tent or camper roof. Everyone knows when an acorn falls and it can be startling. There was a rough storm one night and I could not sleep due to the roof noise.

  We had a wonderful week at Pondside Escape. Would definitely rent again. The camp was very clean and had been totally updated inside. Everything we needed was there including a canoe and 2 kayaks. The owners although we didn’t meet them offered to bring an air conditioneru on our last day as it was during the heat wave. The close proximity to North Conway and the white mountains gave us plenty of opportunity to venture out and do things as well as just kick back at the camp and relax.

  Neat and tidy two bedroom loft with a picturesque view of the pond from your living room. House was clean and comfortable. Fully equipped and even had a spare gas container for grill and firepit! The pond is super clean and we all had a great time swimming and canoeing (Canoe and paddles are on premise - two kayaks too). No motor boats allowed so it's very safe. Neighborhood is quiet and property is fairly private with mature trees all around. Near Conway and N. Conway so there is plenty to do beyond the pond! Only drawback is the internet connection. Don't count on it is all I will say. Verizon cell service is good, so I could hot-spot for my kids.

  As usual Pondside Escape is a very pleasant place to stay. But bring fans during 90° heatwaves as there is no A/C. Open the windows at night and close them by 8:00 am and it would keep the place cool enough for a while. Water was perfect temp and the canoe and kayaks were a lot of fun.

  This was our first time booking using HomeAway. Was a little hesitant on trying it out, but was so happy I did! I wanted a nice quiet place to take my wife for the weekend and Pondside Escape in Madison,NH was it. Courtney at Select Real Estate-White Mountain Vacation Rentals was very nice and helpful with local places we would need for groceries and such or local restraunts we might like to check out in the area. She is a genuine people person for sure! Very quick in responding to questions about property asked and after hours phone messages about the wrong keys we received (an honest mistake) in which she was quick to hand deliver to us! We would definitely come back to this quiet, beautiful, and very clean home again! Had almost everything we needed and more, views, wonderfully equipped kitchen, peace and quiet. The pond was breathtaking for sure! Just bring your sheets, towels, and food for the grill..you would be all set! Thanks for a great weekend!

  My family of three enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views all around the lake including Mt Chocorua and the Sisters. The 2 kayaks were a big PLUS. Saw the pair of Loons almost every day. The lakeside deck was very nice, but that is where a table with umbrella should be located. Courtney at Select was a delight and very helpful.

  Pondside Escape is a perfect place for a family with teenagers. There is plenty of things to do in North Conway and the surrounding area. But, I don't think it is suitable for young children with the stone steps. One other thing, it really needs a second bath or half bath. We had the perfect week for weather -mid 80's low humidity, but it would be a hot place when the weather is very hot. Some kind of A/C would be good to have.

  Vacationing at the Village District of Eidelweiss on Big Pea Porridge Pond was a nice all inclusive experience with much to do for family fun. We missed having a canoe and a fire pit on site at the Pondside Escape location, but the overall experience was great with beautiful scenic views and close proximity to all that the White Mountains of New Hampshire has to offer.
