  First arrived, we felt comfy right away. The house from outside it doesn't look appealing but inside was so beautiful and comfy despite the old appliances that they have. We felt like home, so comfy even without AC. Be aware that the toilet upstairs that keep falling off so we couldn't flush and my husband and sons had to keep fixing it so we could flush them. Courtney was sooo nice and so helpful because I kept bothering her with soooo many questions and she was so patiently answered me. We went to the creek behind the house and one day, we even had some visitors! The mama bear and the baby!!!! They were soooooo cute!!!! I wish that we didn't have to leave. The house was perfect for us that loves to adventures around the mountains and spending time with the natures! Thank you Courtney for all the help! We'll be back again!!

Location also benefits from all the opportunities for recreation, shopping and dining in the greater Conway area.   This was our second stay at Brooks Edge; we enjoyed it very much! The house was very clean on arrival. We appreciated that some basics were stocked (like garbage bags). This was a vacation for all so no major cooking was attempted - instead we enjoyed dining out each evening. Kitchen supplies were fine for simple breakfasts and lunches. We were very happy to find a dog-friendly rental within walking distance of the beach! We rented our own kayaks - Courtney was very helpful in making a recommendation on how to do that! We would have loved it if the house stocked some beach chairs.

  That was a great week vacation. The rental is conveniently located one block away from a public beach of the lake. There is a manor available at the rental that we used quite a bit. However it was quite heavy to carry to the lake. I wish the owners provided also a wheel system to carry it to the lake. My 2 sons and I were very comfortable space wise. There is a nice BBQ that works very well. The rental is surrounded with trees which help cool down the house a little. There is no AC, but the Fans do mostly the job. The view is limited to the wood surrounding the house. Very convenient washer and dryer in the basement! We brought our little dog as the place is dog friendly, that was a big plus. The rental is also equipped with a DVD player and an amazing collection of DVDs that we used every night. That was fun!

  First of all, I want to say that the problems listed in the previous review have all been rectified. The house was very clean, there were no insects, there was a brand new grill on the deck for our use, and there were 3 new fans in the house. The walls were in good condition, with one small area of spackling in the dining area, which was hardly noticeable unless you looked for it.
  The weather was hot and humid most of the week, and the fans were very helpful.
  The kitchen is well equipped and there were plenty of paper goods, detergent, etc. available.
  There were lots of games available and foosball, etc. in the basement.
  A few negatives: some of us didn't find the beds to be comfortable, but that has been true of other rentals we've had, as well.
  There was a canoe available for our use, but it is up at the house, not down at the beach, and carrying it even the relatively short distance down to the beach was difficult. The canoe also had a minor leak, in that a few inches of water collected in the bottom while we were using it.
  We've stayed in this area before, and we always enjoy swimming and canoeing in the ponds, and there are a lot of fun things to do in the general area.

  This spot is secluded yet close to everything. The house is clean,well kept and working with Select Realty was beyond easy. It is pet friendly and our dog loved sitting on the beach porch. We were close to the sight and are looking forward to returning to this spot next year.

  This home was in a perfect location - a 2 minute walk to the beach while completely surrounded by nature. We loved sitting on the deck with the brook rushing by. The home was well furnished and met our needs perfectly. It's about 15 minutes to Conway for shopping and dining. The scenic drives over the Kancamagus and West Side Rd are worth it alone, not to mention the sites visited on arrival. This time we enjoyed Lost River in Woodstock and Attitash in Bartlett. The homeowners were kind enough to allow our dog to come along - it was a great spot!

  We thoroughly enjoyed Out stay in this well appointed house. The house sits on a ledge overlooking a brook that was lovely to hear at all hours of the day. The rental was great, with little touches like trash bags and paper goods, washer and dryer, and provided soaps. While the house might not be suited to the littlest families due to the high balcony overlooking the brook, we felt relatively safe with our school aged children. We picked wild blueberries right outside the door, and enjoyed the beach only steps away! Would definitely stay again.
